Nathaniel Kelly The Harriers could continue the slide to oblivion tomorrow at home to Braintree Town in a meaningless end of season game for us, made even more meaningless now by the departure of Josh Gowling on loan to Grimsby Town.  Now having gone ten games without a win, and none on the horizon, we are beginning to plummet towards the leagues basement instead of the respectable fringes of the play off places.  At least we shouldn't get relegated if we pick up one more point.  Can we do that?

In response to the loss of Gowling we bought in three new? players to replace him.  Two of those are new with James Fry arriving from Birmingham City and William Boyle coming in from Huddersfield Town, both on loan.  The other one is the, not so new, Nathaniel Kelly (right) who has also arrived from the Blues for his second spell here.  Last time out he played just the one game and played a big part in our FA Trophy exit at home to Altrincham and was never seen again.  It's to be hoped that the second coming is more fruitful for him.

We'll be without Jack Byrne for the game tomorrow with him having a hamstring problem while Jamie Grimes took a bang to the head at Torquay last Saturday and could be a big doubt.  We should have no other injury problems.

Our biggest problem is the perennial one of not being able to score although that was scotched slightly at Torquay when Lee Hughes scored our first goal in six games.  Up until then we hadn't looked like scoring and looked just as unlikely after the goal.  One day we might get to see a goal being scored at Aggborough but don't hold your breath.

Braintree had been to Torquay a few days before us and hammered the home side 5-1 but just a week later in the televised game at home to, almost, relegated Telford they fell to a 2-0 defeat in front of over two thousand non paying spectators.  From heroes to zeroes in seven days.

As usual with the secretive Essex club there is no team news let alone who actually plays for them on their official website.  Going by the team line-ups at Torquay and then against Telford there seems to be one omission with hat trick hero in Devon, Dan Sparkes, not even making the bench for the Telford game.  From that it has to be presumed that he's injured.

It'll be interesting to see who plays in place of Josh Gowling tomorrow and, if Grimes is out too, who will play in his place seeing that the obvious choice of Jordan Tunnicliffe is out on loan at Hednesford.

It'll also be interesting to see if we can manage to score too.
