Aston Villa continue to go in search of their first goal in six months against Eastleigh at Aggborough tomorrow evening and it's high time they delivered.  Oh, bugger me, I meant Kidderminster Harriers not the Villa.

Craig Reid It's hard not to make a mistake though with the lack of goals and it must all be down to that curse a gypsy cast on Villa Park a hundred years ago.  Oh, bugger me, another mistake.  That was Birmingham City wasn't it?

To be honest after suffering yet another damp squib at Alfreton on Saturday you have to wonder if the Harriers have had a curse put on them.  We rarely looked like scoring on Saturday and it's been like that for weeks now so surely something has to give sooner than later.  We have a glut of strikers on our books but Gary Whild has tended to stick with Lee Hughes and Danny Wright with Dominic Knowles coming on as substitute for one or the other later on in the game.  I'd suggest dropping Danny Wright and playing either Craig Reid (right) or Akwase Asante alongside Lee instead.  What have we got to lose?

Both of those appear to be out of favour at the club now and them being on the bench at all seems to be just lip service.  I think it'll be the same starting strike force that have under achieved and it follows that we'll still not score tomorrow evening.

Against Alfreton Whild experimented in the first half with wing backs but the team played as if they had not been told beforehand.  We were exposed continually and the lack of understanding lead to the first goal going in after half the team were out of position and the Alfreton man crept around the back to slot the ball home.  Luckily we reverted to normal for the second half and Kevin Nicholson was re-instated in the left back berth after sitting the first half out on the bench.

We should have no injuries to contend with.

At the same time we were losing abysmally our visitors tomorrow were putting one over high flying Bristol Rovers with a 2-1 win to ruin Brizzles twenty match unbeaten run that had stood since October and included a 1-1 draw against us at the Mem in November.  We played really well that day and could have won if it wasn't for a late Rovers goal.  Who would have thought we'd be so depressed now?

Eastleigh appear to have no injuries either but if they have they're not saying.  The Spitfires are in their first season in the Conference and fair play to them they have a good chance of making the play-offs.

They have already beaten the Harriers at Aggborough this season when they put us out of the FA Cup with a Jai Reason strike and he's the one we have to watch out for again after he picked up the February player of the month award.  They have a host of other good players turning out for them with the former Harrier James Constable one of them.

I have this strange feeling that we might go and score tomorrow night but won't get as far as winning.  Our season is all but over and Eastleigh will be on a such an high after beating Rovers that we might find them to be too good for us once more.
