Stratford Town 0 Harriers 3

The Harriers cruised to a stylish win at Stratford today in the final game of the pre-season before they start the season proper next Saturday afternoon at home to promotion hopefuls Grimsby Town.  On this showing, as in most of our friendlies this past month, we too could be hopeful too.

With what looks to be the make up of the starting squad for next week the Harriers took just six minutes to open the scoring.  Luke Maxwell excelling himself with a shot from fully thirty yards from goal that beat the diving Stratford keeper to nestle in the back of the net.

Chances to increase the scoreline came and went with Lathaniel Rowe-Turner and Aman Verma both going close to beating the keeper before Town could have pulled themselves back into the game just before halftime.  Former Red, Dior Angus, attempted to score from six yards out but Dean Snedker saved his shot well.

After the break we increased our lead through an unlikely source when Jordan Tunnicliffe finished off latest recruit, Adam Dawsons, pin point corner ball.  The third and final goal came with sixty minutes on the clock when Keyon Reffell, on for Rob Taylor, headed the ball home from yet another perfect Dawson delivery.

Harriers:
Snedker (Palmer), Hodgkiss, Langmead, Tunnicliffe, Rowe-Turner, Clarke, Maxwell, Verma (Hales), Dawson (Singh), Styche (Reid), Taylor (Reffell).

Subs: Palmer, Singh, Reid, Hales, Green, Reffell.

Att: 242
