Matt Barnes-Homer Hot on the heels of the Boxing defeat at home to Cheltenham yesterday we now travel to their neighbours, both geographically and league status-wise.  Top placed Cheltenham beat us 2-1 while second placed Forest Green somehow managed to lose 4-1 at Torquay in a game that did us no favours either leaving us six points adrift of Torquay at the bottom of the table.  Ironically Kevin Nicholsons side play Cheltenham tomorrow so if the Robins can win again and we can beat Forest Green it should be as you were and back to a three point gap.

We'll be able to build on a more spirited showing yesterday and although we won't have Dino Fazlić still available to us yet we do seem to have discovered a new creative talent in Elton N'Gwatala and hopefully he'll start for us tomorrow.  Jordan Tunnicliffe is still out injured but was spotted going through some rehab exercises along with Jamie Spencer yesterday so may not be too far from a return.

Although Luke Maxwell picked up his fifth yellow card of the season I have been informed that the rules regarding that have now changed and he'll be ok to play at the New Lawn.  two that won't be there are Reece Hales and Keyon Reffell with the former back at Stourbridge on loan for a third time with them while Reffell has had his contract cancelled and is believed to be returning to a club based around Cardiff.

FGR will be without Dale Bennett and and Darren Jones with them both injured long term while James Jennings and Jonny Maxted could both be unavailable as they're currently in bed with a virus.

Three of our personnel will be looking forward to going down to Stroud.  Jared Hodgkiss made well over a hundred and fifty appearances for them until signing for us last season while Head Coach Dave Hockaday was their former manager before he left to work as a coach and then a short spell as manager at Leeds Utd.  Also with them for a while back in 2013 was Matthew Barnes-Homer (right) and he scored five goals in eighteen games for them but is yet to open his account for us this time round.  Maybe he might start scoring tomorrow?

This is going to be yet another game that on paper we shouldn't stand a chance.  FGR are in second place, after being in first place at the start of the season, and they have won four games on the trot up to our game.  With Jon Parkin in sparkling form we'll have to be tough defensively if we do hope to return home with something but we also need to be sharper infront so MBH that is down to you.
