Alex Palmer After a week off for the first time this season the Harriers should be well rested and fit to meet the challenge of the Bank Holiday Special that will be serving up a home game against Forest Green Rovers and then away to new comers Tranmere on Monday.  Both tough challenges and ones that we must aim to get at least a point from each if we want to start climbing the table.

Following the point gained at Gateshead last Saturday, and the enforced absence of Reece Styche, we will be facing a worrying choice of which one of the strikers will start and if we might even play two.  Now that would be a novelty?

Gurjit Singh started his first game for us at the Heed and is now also our leading scorer with two goals.  It'll be something of a travesty if Styche walks straight back into the side at Singhs expense after the rookie striker has impressed on the four times that he's played this season.  Styche, on the other hand, has missed some right sitters and needs to work harder to reclaim his place.  Of the others up front Craig Reid was a missing man last Saturday with rumours abounding that he didn't travel with the team and was no where to be seen while both Tahvon Campbell and Andre Wright played well and deserve to play.

Kelvin Langmead will be missing again and isn't likely to be back any time soon.  We could do with Langmead to shore up our defence as the game is played out after giving yet another goal in the closing stages of a game at Gateshead.  Calvin Dinsley is now back from injury and played in a friendly against Wolves U21 in the week but it's unlikely that he'll feature either.

There will also be the task of deciding which keeper will be between the posts after Alex Palmer (right) made his first start at Gateshead with Dean Snedker dropping to the bench.  To be honest they are both as good as each other so it was probably just a bit of squad rotation on Gary Whilds part.

Our visitors tomorrow, Forest Green, will be arriving at Aggborough un-beaten and with just one goal scored against them.  They've scored ten times but eight of those goals have come at home with just two 1-0 away wins to their credit so it appears they struggle to score away from home (clutching at straws here folks) and we could well get a result against them if we can break their defence down.

They have just the one outstanding injury with Danny Coles out with a knee problem while Darren Jones is on the way back from injury so could play some part in the game if selected.

In the corresponding game last season, New Years Day, FGR demolished us 4-2 at home and we don't want to see that kind of scoreline happening this weekend.  With the hopeful return of Langmead then I don't think we will and I also think we might be wiping that huge grin of Forest Greens faces with our first win of the season.  The first of many, hopefully.
