Seeing as we haven't played in anger recently we heard the news yesterday that Arthur Gnahoua could miss the game due to an ankle injury. Just what do they do on the training ground that ends in a crucial member of the side getting injured? At least we have some good news with that talk of Elton N'Gwatala being fit to play once more and before expected too. As long as it doesn't end in tears.
We have bought in a new keeper for reasons known only to Colin Gordon (yet to be confirmed). Has Dean Snedker been so poor in recent games that he is now being dropped for a rookie now that the season is almost at an end or is he on his way out of the club. Anyway welcome to the Harriers Max O'Leary (right) from Bristol City and enjoy your time with us.
The last time out we lost 3-2 at Torquay after managing to come back from two goals down but the Gulls struck back to break our hearts and more or less condemn us to relegation. With their four games in hand they were expected to climb out of the relegation places last week but consecutive draws against Braintree, Aldershot and Halifax have kept them in danger of coming down with us.
Lincoln, on the other hand, were up the sunny end of the table and trying hard to get into the play-offs with a home win against Aldershot but a draw at Macclesfield and a shocking 4-1 defeat at Dover in mid-week has seen them drop back two places into tenth. A win for them tomorrow could see them back up to eighth and three points shy of that all important sixth place.
They could be without defender Jamie McCombe with an injury to his Gluteus Maximus - arse to me and you - while winger James Caton has a hamstring injury. Caton is with City on loan from Shrewsbury while going out on loan this past week have been Nat Brown and Conner Robinson with them both joining up with Boston Utd while in a surprise move they have loaned Liam Hearn to Harrogate after having re-called him from his loan with Barrow. Talk is that the injury prone striker is on his way out of the club permanently. They do have the well known donkey Matt Rhead still and no doubt he'll score against us.
As you can tell I'm resigned to the inevitable now and I fully expect that feeling to be compounded by tomorrow evening.
