Two second half goals for substitute James McQuilkin (left) has pretty much ensured that he'll be in the starting line-up at Kingfield and that could be at the expense of the under achieving Evan Garnett to give us a somewhat lightweight front line but one that can score goals. Gurjit Singh is also back at Aggborough following his loan at Stourbridge but he's unlikely to feature having hardly featured for this seasons bogie team. Also back is Jordan Tunnicliffe and he could be on the bench as cover.
The biggest hope has to be for Elton N'Gwatala though. He's now fully recovered from his groin injury and could play a part for us at Woking if only from the bench at some stage. We've missed his creative partnership with Ousmane Fané that saw us win three games on the trot in February against Boreham Wood, Eastleigh and Macclesfield. We have also beaten Woking, in October last year, and that was our first win of the season with the only goal coming from the on loan Jordan Murphy with that win shooting us up to twenty third place in the table. Heady days!
We'll be without Zaine Francis-Angol for the game with him on international duty for Antigua and Barbados over the Easter period.
Woking have been going through a bad spell in recent weeks and have lost their last seven games with the last win coming at Wrexham at the beginning of January. That poor form has seen them slip down the table from a healthy sixth to a middling thirteenth place and now nothing to play for so they could roll over for us. Hopefully.
They have two long term injuries with both Scott Rendell and Ismail Yakubu out all season with Anterior Cruciate Ligament injuries although Rendell is now back in training but too late for our game and also for this season. They have no other known injuries but they do have an ex Harrier with them after our former loanee from Luton, Matt Robinson, agreed to stay on loan with them until the end of the season.
With just eight games remaining this season these are the games that we need to get a result from and our run in isn't too bad - Woking (A), Tranmere (H), Altrincham (H), Welling (A), Halifax (H), Barrow (H), Dover (H) and Southport (A) - and out of those only Tranmere this coming Monday looks tough beyond belief. The others though we should get at least a point from but will it still be too late?
