Oh dear.  Where does one start?

Reece Styche We all know what went on last week and the throwing in of the towel by players and management alike was something that was terrible to see happen to our once proud club.  They all knew what was at stake and with our financial plight it was imperative that we got past the difficult game at Stourbridge that had been given to us.  It ended up in one of, if not the most, embarrassing moment in our 130 year history as we saw a so called professional team destroyed and then humbled by a bunch of part timers from two leagues below us.

That isn't meant to be a slur on Stourbridge because they had the enthusiasm that we had not.  They had the intelligence to read the game and adopt the style of play they did once they saw that we hadn't got the intelligence to change things around.  Mostly though they didn't treat their fans as some kind of idiots thinking that we could ever be happy with what they dished up in the name of football.

Following the game the management reacted in the most unfathomable way possible by singling out for dismissal one of the very few bright sparks of this season when they told Callum Hassan that he was not good enough for this club.  What??  We've seen five West Brom loanees that are not good enough either yet they think the sun shines out of their proverbial wotsits.  I don't want to single out any particular loanee as the reason for that shambles but we all know who it is yet we have not heard one shred of criticism of him because we do not want to upset West Brom.

Now we're hearing that Reece Styche (right) has gone out on loan to Macclesfield while there are rumours of another going out on loan to make way for yet more sub standard bits of kids leaving us with just two time served old heads.  It has to stop, and stop before it's too late.

Unless it already is!

Tomorrow we come up against another club that found themselves on the wrong end of a drubbing when it was supposed to have been a similar walk over to our game.  Woking went to Maidenhead in their cup game and also lost 3-0 and on Monday their manager Gary Hill put his entire contracted squad up for loan and then bought in two more loanees in the shape of Adam Cunnington from Ebbsfleet and Cameron Norman from Norwich City.  Cunnington was under Steve Burrs radar at one time but opted to go out on loan to Bristol Rovers instead while Norman is a 'bit of a kid' from the City U21 side.  Add in the ex Harrier loanee Matt Robinson from Luton and at least their loans are a mix of experience and youth.

Woking have, like us, been going through a poor run of results in recent weeks whereas ours has been since last March.  They were one time second in the league but have plummeted down to sixteenth with just two wins in the last two months.  Still more than we've achieved in five months.

They'll be eager to save themselves from the slump tomorrow but, hopefully, we'll be just as eager to get a first, long awaited, win under our belts.

With Reece Styche going out on loan to Macclesfield and Hassan now gone then we'll be relying on a lone striker yet again with Gurjit Singh the only recognised striker now on our books and he won't be 100% fit either.  Cue another loan striker that can't cut the mustard.  Aman Verma is the other one possibly going out on loan too seeing he has apparently lost his place in the side due to his loyalty to ex manager Gary Whild and that hasn't gone down too well in some quarters.

We have no known injuries unlike Woking who have two players out long term.  Scott Rendell was injured on the first day of the season with an Anterior Cruciate Ligament strain that will see the dangerous strike miss all of the season while Ismail Yakubu also has a ligament strain but not as bad as Rendells and he won't be out as long.

With our much depleted and down at heel squad I can't see us getting a result from this game and if we don't then I also think that we may see a repeat of the fans anger that we saw at Stourbridge and believe me that was not a pretty thing to see.

The sad thing is that they, players and management alike, are all in this shambles together and they all carry the can together.  They get everything they deserve.
