Liam Truslove With the season now beginning to draw to a close we take on one of the play off contenders tomorrow when Halifax Town come to town.  After meandering in and out of the top six all season the Fax have in recent weeks leapt up to third place with a mix of good results and others teams losses going their way.  With our visitors five points behind us in the table a win for us tomorrow will put us in an almost un-assailable eight points in front with a big gap forming behind us.

It's just a question of can we catch up with a faltering AFC Fylde?

To that end we could have Arthur Gnahoua back in the team after being in training this week.  Although we have coped without him these past few weeks the chemistry between him, Zaine Francis-Angol and Elton N'Gwatala hasn't been there and with ZFA missing too last week we had to re-shuffle a bit and re-call Jared Hodgkiss from his loan at Torquay and play narrow with two slightly in-effective widemen in Daniel Nti and Tyrell Waite.  There was also the addition of Joe Ironside to the team and maybe we were playing to his strengths and not the teams as a whole.

The aforementioned ZFA should be back in the team after missing the scraped win against Harrogate with a bruised shin while Ashley Carter serves the second installment of his four match ban.

Halifax will be a bit short of staff with Matt Brown and Matt Kosylo out with hamstring injuries while Scott McManus is back in training after a one year break from the game when he suffered an ACL injury during their FA Trophy win against York City at the end of last season.  That came after him scoring too.

Also back in training is Josh Macdonald following a foot injury and he might be fit enough to play.

In other news it was good to see Liam Truslove (right) sign an extension to his contract until the end of next season.  Hopefully he'll be getting more starts than he has so far with just the five but that five starts has produced nine goals so think how many he could score if he was on the pitch for longer.  And it was good to see that Darryl Knights scored for the National League v The British Army team on Wednesday evening with his goal being the sixth of seven in the 7-2 win at Tamworth.

Will we see goals from those two tomorrow?  Will we see a fourteenth home win on the trot for us?

I'm thinking we will.
