Sam Hornby Every game that we play now seems to have the 'tough' tag applied to it and this one tomorrow against Stockport County is certainly on that list.

County have finally got their act together this season after that fateful day back in April 2013 when we more or less relegated them down to this terrible league.  Who would have thought back then when we put four goals past them to just miss out on automatic promotion into League 2, and then fail the play-offs miserably, that our own troubles were about to start and we too started the slow decline into mediocrity.

Since that day County have never set this league alight but now it all seems to be coming together and they have a very good chance of making the play-offs and possible promotion.  But not if we have any say in the matter.

Unbeaten in the league since mid November they have risen from mid table in that time to sit in their present sixth place after winning seven of the last twelve games.  Last Saturday while qwe were going down 2-1 at Chorley they we beating FC Utd by the same scoreline in front of 5,360 people, a crowd better than near neighbours Rochdales 2,842 at home to Charlton.

As to our game tomorrow I have no idea who will be turning out for County because,as is the custom, they don't give out news like that.  They have bought a few players in recently though with Sefton Gonzales re-joining them from Stalybridge Celtic and defender Connor Hampson from Curzon Ashton.

We should be getting back to near full strength soon with Sam Hornby (left) joining in the warm up at Chorley and Zaine Francis-Angol back in training this week.  Following Alex Palmers clanger that gifted Chorley their second goal then Hornby might be back between the sticks tomorrow.

In other news defender Jared Hodgkiss is to spend a further month out on loan at Torquay.

Again it goes without saying that we have to get all three points tomorrow if we have any hope of making the ground lost on Fylde last weekend.  With this game against Stockport tomorrow and another tough outing to Brackley on Tuesday then we really do need to be on top of our game and not let six points slip away.
