That trip to Darlington netted the Harriers another three points and sent us up to third in the table overnight although by next day we had dropped down to fourth following Harrogates draw at home to Curzon. Our only goal came from Arthur Gnahoua and he now leads our scoring charts with four goals but we really do need to see more than one goal per game if we intend to stay near to the top of the table. At Darlo that inability to add to a lead almost came back to bite us on the bum, as it has done in recent games, where we somehow contrive to sit on a one goal lead and then end up throwing two points away by letting our opponent score late on.
Telford are not having the best of seasons so far and sit just below mid-table in fifteenth place. Their only win of this season came at home to Stalybridge in mid August when they won 2-0 but four draws have kept them from the very bottom of the table. Their most recent result was a 1-2 home defeat to Halifax on Saturday with their goal thanks to Duane Samuels.
In the Telford ranks is the ever popular ex Red Callum Gittings and he's bound to get a warm response from our fans. They'll be without a few injured players with Paul McCone, Dave Hibbert, Dan Preston and Jack Rea all in the treatment room and only Hibbert looking to have any chance of starting.
We'll be without James McQuilkin (right) for this one game following the fifth yellow card picked up at home to Altrincham last week. To be honest for a midfielder to pick up that amount of cards in just eight games is downright ridiculous and is something we could do without considering the amount of work that McQuilkin gets through. He'll be a big miss for us.
Ash Carter is back from his three match suspension tomorrow but he'll have one heck of a job getting the number four shirt back off Ryan Croasdale with the newly contracted midfield dynamo being a revelation since joining us a few weeks ago. We might have Jared Hodgkiss back with us following his ankle injury but we have no other injuries or suspensions.
This is a game that will certainly see a strong turnout from the Harriers faithful and it should also see us continue our away form too.
