Richie Appleby first came to the Harriers on loan in November 2001 from Swansea City.

Jan Molby signed him from Ipswich Town when he was manager at Swansea and bought him to Aggborough for the rest of the season.

He made his scoring debut in the 3-1 at Leyton Orient in November 2001.

Richie was born on the 18th Sept 1975 in Middlesborough and is a former England Youth player.

Richie is another one who joined Jan Molby at Hull City but rarely played through injury and was released by the club in December 2003.

He then re-surfaced at Aggborough soon after and spent the summer getting his fitness levels back up until he eventually re-signed for the Harriers on non-contract terms at the end of July 2004.

That never really worked out though and he signed for Forest Green Rovers in October 2004 siting a regular wage as the reason.
