The Newcastle born lad is a good friend of fellow Geordie Andy Ferrell and it was partly down to him that he decided to sign for us rather than Oxford or Torquay.
During his three seasons at Blyth he made 117 appearances for the Blue Square North side and made his England C debut against Finland in Helsinki last May. While at Blyth he also had trials at Blackpool and Hartlepool.
He signed for us for an initial one year contract but midway through the season was offered an extended contract that he refused to sign. He left the club in June the following year to join up with Hereford Utd.
