Ben was bought to the club by the Shaun Cunnington as a stand in keeper for both John Danby and Daniel Lewis following their injuries prior to the relegation battle against Shrewsbury.

He is the third string keeper for his club Stoke City and they have loaned him out to Bristol City and Tiverton Town before he came here.

He missed most of last season with ligament damage following a freak accident while playing tennis. He has yet to make an appearance for Stoke but is thought by their fans to be a good prospect.

Ben only played two games for us until he was re-called by his club due to an injury crisis.
