Robert signed for the Harriers on September 12th 2003 after turning down the chance to sign for Rochdale, where he had been playing since the start of the season.

He started his career at his hometown club, Doncaster, but was snapped up by Premiership side Coventry City a year later.

After failing to break into the City first team he was released at the end of the 02-03 season.

He also failed to break into the Harriers team and was released in March 2004 after just ten games for the Reds.
