Nathan Blissett signed for the Harriers from Romulus just one week into the 12-13 season after our opening two games with a much diminished strike force meant to no goals scored. With Jamille Matt ineligible to play for a few months and Steve Guinan injured we needed someone quickly and Blissett fitted that bill.
In his one season at Romulus the former team mate of Marvin Johnson scored thirteen times in thirty four games and at 6ft 4ins tall will be the target man we've been waiting for.
Following a regular starting place to the season Nathan fell out of favour on the return of Jamille Matt to the team and then when other strikers came in he rarely got a look in. He went to Cambridge Utd on loan for a month as part of the deal that bought Michael Gash to the club.
After a few years he finally came good and joined Bristol Rovers on loan, with a possibility of signing permanently, a week after scoring against them in a 1-1 draw at the Memorial Ground. By the end of the season he had appeared in the Play off final at Wembley and helped his side to promotion. Something he would never have done with the Harriers.
