Daryl Burgess
Daryl Burgess

Burgess, who looks from his portrait above as someone NOT to argue with, joined the Harriers at the start of July 2005.

Most of his career was spent at West Brom where he earned a fearful reputation as being a good solid defender but he eventually left there to join up with Northampton and then finally to Rochdale.    He became a crowd favourite there too but was released at the end of the 04-05 season.

Once here he put in some solid performances for us if a little lacking in pace and also getting sent off twice.    He eventually became club captain after Wayne Hatswell joined Rushden but was finally released at the end of the season and joined Nuneaton Boro just before the start of the following season.
