The tall un-compromising defender has a wealth of experience in Non-League football having had spells at Braintree, Canvey and Nuneaton before joining up with Shrewsbury.
He was bought in for an initial one month period with a view to a longer spell if he did ok but he never did.
His time here was probably ruined in his first game for us, the opening game of the season against newly promoted St Albans. He had a shocker of a debut and then some idiot sponsor in the Aggborough Suite gave him the Man of the Match award.
The laughter from some fans around the ground was embarrassing for both Gavin and most true Harriers fans. He was never the same after that and returned to Shrewsbury a month later but to be honest his game was naturally strewn with basic defending errors and he was never going to stay here.
He has since joined Grays Athletic on a two year contract.
