The former Worcester City assistant manager Matt Gardiner became the Harriers Head Coach in May 2016 following the appointment of John Eustace as Manager a few weeks earlier in April.

Gardiners playing career started with Torquay Utd in 1992 when he made seven appearances for them before leaving to join Shrewsbury Town a year later.  He then dropped into non-league football with local sides such as Halesowen and Stourbridge before joining up with Hereford Utd in 2000.

After going into management with Redditch and Bromsgrove he eventually joined Worcester City in 2010 as assistant to their manager Carl Heeley.

Now, on our relegation and the coming of a new manager, he has joined the Harriers to try and get them back into the Conference Premier.
