Josh Gowling is one of two players that signed on deadline day August 31st 2012, the other being Manny Panther, following the debacle of the Exodus Geohaghon situation that left us a central defender short with just hours to spare.
Both Lincoln and ourselves moved quickly to sign him with City cancelling his contract to enable a smoother move.
Coventry born Josh started his career at West Brom but soon moved on to Herfolge in the Danish league. After a year there he moved back to Britain and joined up with Bournemouth for three seasons before moving around various lower league clubs until his arrival at Lincoln from Gillingham in October 2010 on loan. He signed for them a few months later on his release from the Gills.
The tall defender, well known for his unruly hair, is a welcome addition to the side and hopefully he'll play his part in seeing us rise up the table once more.
