Jamie McClen became the third player to join us in two days when he arrived here on June 27th 2006.    The former Newcastle Utd midfielder failed to break through into the Magpies first team after eight years at St James Park and eventually joined up with us via Carlisle and Shrewsbury.

In his time with the Premiership side he was Captain of their reserve side but has never shown such leadership qualities at Aggborough.    He went out on loan to Bedlington Terriers in November and was released on the completion of his time there at the start of January 2007.

He has now signed for Hamilton Academical of the Scottish League Division 1.
