At the end of that year he was again signed up on a new contract but this time for two years. This was to beat off any interest in the player from three nameless Championship clubs.
To both McGraths' and Mark Yates this throwaway comment has now begun to hang like an albatross around his neck. So much so that he then became out of favour at Aggborough and was sent for an initial one month loan at Worcester City in September 2008.
He finally left Aggborough in the January 2009 transfer window after having his contract cancelled by mutual agreement and then joined Ian Fosters Galway Utd in mid February. After just half a season there he then moved on to Sligo Rovers in July 2009.
