Harriers Online. The wonderful world of Kidderminster Harriers

Jon Newby signed for the Harriers on loan until almost the end of the 05-06 season after coming back from injury at his parent club Bury.    The speedy winger started his career at Liverpool and in subsequent moves to other clubs never really showed what he was capable of until he first went to Bury.

He originally went on loan to Gigg Lane but at the end of the first month Bury signed him permanently with a six figure sum.    He repaid that by knocking in a bagful of goals for them.

He signed for Huddersfield in 2003 but never really settled there and eventually moved back to his first love, Bury.

In January of 2006 he suffered a bad injury and was loaned to us until the end of the season in an effort to get back to his original fitness levels and also to score some goals for us.

After his loan finished he joined up with Wrexham at the start of the following season and then joined Southport in January 2007.
