Simon was with Jan Molby at Hull City but after failing to get into the side there, and with even less chance once City earned promotion in 2004, he opted to come to Aggborough.

He is our first ginger headed player since Lee Hughes and bears a striking resemblance to Paul Scholes of Manchester Utd.

Simon eventually left the club after four years that saw him start as a fans favourite and then slowly become the subject of derision.  He joined York City in August 2008 after playing in our first three games of the 08-09 season but the following season he rarely made the starting line-up and was sent out on loan to Tamworth.
