Tom Sharpe joined the Harriers after being released from Nottingham Forest in May 2009.  At the City Ground he made it as far as the reserve side but no further.

Loan spells at Bury and Halifax achieved just the one appearance for the latter and he eventually found his way to the pre-season trials at Aggborough in July 2009.  After impressing Mark Yates he was offered a contract.
