The burly striker was previously with Cheltenham Town when the Harriers management team of Mark Yates and Neil Howarth were both playing for them. It was with the Whaddon Road side that Spencer made his mark by scoring thirty nine times in over two hundred and fifty appearances for the Robins.
From there Spencer went out on loan to Brentford for a short while and then left the club completely in August 2009 to join Kettering. He hasn't really settled in there and it looks likely that he has been bought to Aggborough with one eye on a permanent deal.
