Re: MotM: 10-03-26. Peterborough Sports (H)

Actual diagonal balls put through for strikers to run on to .
Good performance
thought Donnelly was amazing how good are Boston that they can loan him out ?
Bird and Obi superb against poor but pacy opposition.
Unusual to see so many players clap when a team mate is substituted as ours did with ...

Re: MOTM 07-03-26. Buxton (A)

Listened on the radio and it certainly sounded like we played very well .
Credit to Mr Murray who has got the team in a much better place now.
I moaned about his signings earlier in the season but he is getting the best out of his squad and team spirit an important factor in the play offs looks ...

I will be interested to see young Cadogan too .
He show hints of a useful player when he played for us .

Re: Hemmo's back home

Hemmo did his best work last season playing in a team that could pass the ball through a defence .
Maz , Worrall ,Brown and Devine plus Joe would all try slotting a diagonal ball through for Hemmo to run for .
We don’t play like that anymore and for whatever reason Hemmo can’t adapt and nor can the ...

Re: MotM: 28-02-26. Wealdstone (H)

Agree re Devine he spends far too much time just waiting for the ball to come towards him.
He might be much more useful down the middle.
Certain to win us free kicks in dangerous places when he is inevitably fouled .
Wasted wide .

Re: MOTM 24-02-26. Marine (H)

Very enjoyable evening and wondering even more if Devine shouldn’t play as a proper striker ?
Thought Marine looked ordinary on the night for some reason but credit to the team and Mr Murray for giving us a nice 4-0 win.
Shout out of the referee too
Best I have seen for a long time

Re: MotM: 21-02-26. Southport (H)

Not sure what our game plan was other than get it wide mainly to Walker and cross it to nobody.
Southport had done their homework and stuck 3 on Walker at times .
I was expecting Waldron and Hemmo or Waldron and Thompson today we had one lone striker again .
No through balls no nothing really ...

Re: 21-02-26. Southport (H)

Totally agree we rarely get more than one in the box marked by 3 or 4 often massive defenders .
As for through balls the type Maz and Zac slotted through on the diagonal last season to Hemmings and others.
Rare as hens teeth this season .

Re: MOTM 10-02-26. Merthyr (H)

Lots of sensible ideas on here today which is pleasing.
Have had time to think about things for a while my suggestion (what do I know I have never managed a football team) .
However I think which should pick two strikers I would
Pick Hemmings and Waldron and play them up front to the end of the ...

Re: MOTM 10-02-26. Merthyr (H)

Frustrated really good build up play but nothing to show again.
My only bugbear was the number of times a wide player got a cross over good or bad only to find just Waldron and about four defenders.
Yes if we took our chances especially digger ( no criticism) but equally Merthyr has several sharp ...
