Holi Holiday

Post by Phil » Sun May 12, 2024 9:15 am

I'm leaving you lucky lot on Wednesday so behave yourselves please. I have my spies ready to pounce on errant apostrophes and bad rummars.

We're off to Barcelona for a week, back on the 22nd, and we've also booked tickets for FC Barcelona v Rayo Vallecano at the Olympic Stadium just to make you even more jealous (Nou Camp is being demolished). Then again at €186 for the two of us you might think I'm mad.

I'll be wearing my Harriers shirt and looking forward to getting stared at by people wondering whose that shirt is. I'll post some photo's up if I can.

Also if anyone else is going away and taking the uniform with them then please post a piccie on here (scroll down on the posting page to attachments. Press the button and follow the clues)

Have a nice time Phil. I will thanks :) :plane: :plane: :plane:

The injury-prone ex-Real Madrid striker and over-paid pundit, Michael Owen, was on the telly a week or so ago reflecting how difficult it would be for PSG to overcome Barca in their Champions League match in the hostile atmosphere of the Nou Camp.
There are people out there who provide constructive criticism and I thank them. Then there are people who criticize solely because it makes them feel smarter. - Benjamin Franklin

Did the game. Some of you may already have see a few pics pre-game on my FB.

Game was so so until Pedri came on and 'scored' twice (his first was an own goal)

Crowd was only 35,500 or so yet the place holds 59,000. Nou Camp was always sold out so where have the fans gone.

Saw an Ajax fan there and possibly a Borrusia Dortmund fan.

On the way to the ground we met a lad running up and down the steps. Turns out Atif has just signed for Marine following his release from Forest. Had a good chat. He knew Jack Bearne had played for us.

Overall good experience but game was poor overall.

More on him: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ateef-konate/profil/spieler/592980

Played 3 times for Forest 1st team and scored 5 in 15 for the PL2 side. Played five times on loan to Oxford Utd.
