What an insult playing the team that replaced us in the league.

Even in a pre-season friendly, we can never play there on a Saturday. This must be about the 8th time in succession now.

Why are we going there? I thought convention said the higher league team played the friendly at the lower league team's ground.

And convention said that Premier Division football teams sent a decent quality team to local lower division teams as an act of goodwill and charity.

I'd imagine that it's something to do with the amount of fans likely to attend in a way. Kiddy v Tamworth is not going to whet the appetite for a Kiddy fan and not many would make the journey from Tamworth I'd imagine, still a worthwhile game though. We did the same thing against Solihull the season after we swapped places with them around nine years ago. If memory serves me correctly didn't we play FC United at Aggborough in a friendly when Neil Howarth was Yates' assistant and they brought a decent following down.I think Neil had an association with someone at the club. Hopefully we've got some decent home fixtures lined up.

FC United did bring a lot of "fans" with them and if my memory serves, they spent the entire game singing songs about the Glazers, Matt Busby's aces etc. They didn't seem to be remotely interested in what the FC United players were doing.
It is only a matter of time before those good people at the National Lottery give me the jackpot that I so richly deserve.

Pre-season but also a testimonial, and one of the most memorable goals at Aggborough.

Shame there's no highlights from that game. Sadly few of that 99/00 title winning side generally.
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)

Their 'Adams Family' song directed at us was funny, mind.

Announced by Mickleover a week ago? Thanks to Ben Hudspith for spotting this.
