The last time we were excellent away from home was at Telford. Excellent defensive performance where the three central defenders were Horsfall Heaton and Higginson.
We had a decent "H force" before ........remember Howells, Hadley and Humphries?? :worthy:

18 points to play for - if we win all games we will finish with 71 points - Chorley already on 73 so the only definite thing is we won't win the title - well not this year.

Just getting to the play-offs now would be an achievement although I have no real belief we would be promoted via them having seen the Chorley and Brackley performances and both of them will be play-off contenders.
We've played a blinder in making them both think we are weak and thus luring them into the trap of false expectations. We will rise like a phoenix from the flames in the play offs.
Sadly not so Owen - we did not play a blinder making them think we are weak - we are just simply weak.

In previous seasons when we have achieved the play-offs I have thought we stood a decent chance of winning the games and progressing. This season it is different - the achievement will be just reaching the play-offs - progressing beyond that is way beyond optimistic bearing in mind we won't even have a home advantage.

Reality is we have finished lower in the league in the last four seasons and I am desperately trying to find something that will make me think we are going to reverse that gradual decline. I must admit that at the moment I am struggling.
Seems like they have played a blinder on everyone...
Owen you definitely need to attend an away game and soon?
I may be able to make it this saturday....maybe....will you be there pershore?

Alty game is huge. Lose that and we're done for the season. Next to no chance of us catching Spennymoor. Let's be realistic.
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)
-------------------Brock-----------
-------Hinton---Smith-----Stamps
-----Melligan--Bennett-Williams---Flynn-Parrish
-----------Henriksen-Broughton------

I agree - another fork in the road like the Spennymore game.

I note that Chester are now within one point of us with a game in hand.

Yes but their run in is even more difficult than Kiddy and their away form is crap.

Before Darlington they had only won 3 out of 17 games and scored only 15 goals, the worst in the league. I think that qualifies their away form as crap. FWIW Unless Spennymoor continue their perennial springtime collapse I can't see any team currently outside the top 7 making the playoffs.

Apart from a great run by Brackley, and Spennymoor, the form table over 6 games isn't much different than the league table.
Seems very likely to be four teams playing for two places.
Chorley play all the other three teams.
Our run in is relatively easy.
Altrincham is our only 'six-pointer'.
What a dififficult run in Chorley have! My money would be on Stockport.

'Our run is relatively easy' !!!!!!!!!!

Even against a few low-lying teams, the way our Jeckyl and Hyde side play - I can't agree with that.

Once it's mathematically impossible to make the play-offs (IMO not a cat in hell's chance already) I fully expect MY to start playing academy kids and other fringe players.
