I'm not convinced that the Hemmings/OSJ + one striker option is going to work. We tried that last year (with two holding midfielders) and, despite the talent of the players involved, the entertainment value was ultimately slim on the ground. Doesn't result in enough chances created.

Close but onside.

Saw some pressing of the opposition which involved us standing 8 yards away whilst they pick a pass.

I've never really been overly impressed / excited by Simpson. Hall was better.

Hope we play the first team against Stratford. Let's see what we can do.

Generally, not feeling that optimistic.

And I agree with this.

I believe the CB Trialist may be Geraldo Bajrami - ex Birmingham City / Solihull Moors. I claim no credit for the identification which if correct rightly belongs to Lancaster Harrier.

It's also on page 11 of this thread.

Is he the guy idling back at snail's pace when the first goal goes in? Also pushed the guy for the penalty against Cheltenham.

No, that was the other CB triallist for the first Walsall goal.

Is Max Taylor a possibility?

Anyone going to Stratford? Do we know if we can pay on the gate?

Not meaning to sound unduly negative - although I probably am!

I remember RP saying that we were bringing two high level loans in. Perhaps one is a CB?

Looks like 4-4-2 with one of the returning trialists at centre-half. Hoping Simpson hasn't been added to the injury list.

Happy to see two up top! Be interesting to see how AMS and Nyal Bell combine.

The last one on the Stratford team (subs) is an ex Harriers academy kid. James Fry is also ex Harriers.
