So the BBC are clearing their peak-time Monday schedule to show an U23's game.

£85k....probably equivalent to the cost of 2 decent players for a season?
What a difference that would make.

Exactly. Or a single player's wages for one week at Man U.

Or just over one day's wages for Ronaldo.
It's the easy options for the BBC. Choose the grounds of the big clubs. The TV gantries are all in place, they don't have to think about the camera and microphone positions. They can just turn up and plug in. They don't even have to switch on the satnav to find the grounds.

Also as frustrating as being overlooked is the extra 12K for highlights if we're chosen isn't something we should turn downstevedthomas wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 9:25 amUnfortunately clubs have no right to refuse any highlights or live request.
If the BBC or ITV say ‘jump’….we have to say ‘how high…?’

Really frustrated with Harriers being overlooked again, but also really angry all non leagues sides have been rejected. I understand it from ITV's perspective with viewing figures being a big part of their model. But the BBC? I have just written a complaint to them on the grounds that they should have some responsibility to highlight the broader culture of Football including further down the pyramid and not panda to big clubs with big sponsors. I doubt it will make any difference to the future but worth 5 minutes to write. On the upside, no risk of people staying home to watch it, Saturday game and less pressure on the boys to deliver another outstanding performance.

When the BBC decided to sack the famed trio of Barker, Tufnell and Dawson to needlessly and senselessly ruin a legendary sports quiz show when not one person wanted it, just to fulfil their woke agenda, you know they don’t give a toss. This is just one of many such things they e done. They don’t care about what their viewers want. That was the moment I cancelled my TV licence, and many people are doing the same now.Tom.10 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 11:14 amReally frustrated with Harriers being overlooked again, but also really angry all non leagues sides have been rejected. I've no idea why they decided to change the Question of Sport presenters but I think someone should check the meaning of the word, "woke" ie. "alert to injustice in society, especially racism".

Someone's clearly swallowed some Telegraph comment pieces and Facebook outrage. 'Snowflake' will come up within a few posts' time from people who have cancelled their TV licence in protest at a decision they don't like. Some might call it 'cancel culture'. God help us.
For me, they've made decisions like Sky might have done. It's trying to get the biggest audiences on paper with Swindon/City being the token potential giantkilling. Take our game aside, not to include Chesterfield/Chelsea is a massive oversight. The public service element seems to have been forgotten. James Rowe's press conference answer was far more diplomatic than I would have been.
It's another example of how poorly the FA Cup is being treated now. Second round draw was closer to midnight than teatime, how does that show its importance?

God help the BBC as like many others I dont consider their current output as value for money. Hence they got cancelled.Someone's clearly swallowed some Telegraph comment pieces and Facebook outrage. Ditto Sky and Virgin, whose sports and film packages are not worth the subscription in my opinion.
Lots of brilliant free stuff all over the internet.
I've operated such a 'cancel culture' for decades.....

Written to the BBC, Question of Sport line-up, "Woke Agenda"...
Well this certainly took a turn and was quite an eye-opener. Wow.

Anyone remember what happened on the 8th January 1994...
