Quite agree. Another small gripe (I know, I'm full of them) Didn't ST holders used to get to buy 2 tickets each? When did that stop? I'd like to take grandson but that's going to depend on what's left after the Halifax ticket holders have had their day.

I’ve been told that West Ham Corporate supporters have been given exclusive use of the Aggborough Suite and our regular box holders and corporates have been moved to the main functions room in the Social Club and given seats in the East Stand - a couple of hundred of them.
So much for putting your own supporters first KHFC. ☹️

thats surely is BS, i have never heard of corporate supporters doing away games corporate style. I imagine they;'d be a long queue of locals wanting and would pay the prices for this game

Sadly I understand that most of what Murphy has heard is actually true not BS.
I’ll try and confirm later today when I learn more.

This is actually correct.

When the price of £360 per person was announced for the Aggborough suite, most regulars who remember are used to paying around £50 - £60 per game understandably baulked and some may have wanted a little time to consider.

In the meantime West Ham supporters filled their boots meaning rather embarrasingly there will be no home supporters in our own corporate section.

Lets hope the corporate fans who frequent the Aggborough suite season in, season out don't keep grudges and return.

Good business decision with the opportunity to make 5-6 times more revenue for a one off game, but probably not a great PR move and one that will likely get a few regular box users backs up.

If that money is used to tie Baj down and bring in another squad strengthening signing or two to push for promotion, I guess it will be forgotten.

Think it's fairly clear Baj isn't signing a contract.

I'd also heard this before, last week, so think it's fairly spot on.

I see the official site currently has this listed as a Vanarama National League North game.

Since when has the current custodians given a thought to good PR or the regular patrons of the Aggborough suite?
Lane's interviews have made constant, careful and concise references to the clubs sponsors and corporate supporters right though the cup run (check out the Football Focus interview.) Little has been said about fans on the terraces or season ticket holders.

I've cut Richard Lane and his board a huge amount of slack since they took over. Lockdown and the NLN financials hasnt made things easy, but the chronic lack of communication, the laissez faire approach to ticketing and game arrangement, the 'cashless' scenario and the Murdoch affair all sit a tad uncomfortably with the nice warm feeling I get with events happening on the pitch.
I shouldnt be worried, but I am.

I agree that the club should do all they can to maximise revenue from the game otherwise what is the point of reaching this stage if we don't profit from it?

I tend to use the corporate facilities a couple of times a season but realistically didn't expect it to be priced anywhere near a normal game. I'm happy to be significantly outbid if it benefits the club and helps its long term sustainability.

Of course we could have charged £18 general admission, £50 Aggborough Suite and told the BBC we prefer a 3pm kick off more than their £100k fee but if we wanted to do that we might as well have not entered the competition in the first place.

That's fair enough but, if you were a regular in there i would imagine you would feel a little peeved.

I get that but it's the same issue for all supporters in principle albeit with lower cash differential. Plenty are used to paying £18 or so to attend a game and now have to pay roughly double for this one specific match. Should they chose not to then there will be plenty of newcomers who will happily pay it and take their place.

If I were in charge of the hospitality I would perhaps look to give those regulars who are affected a free table for another game as a goodwioll gesture. That way the club profits from the West Ham game whilst retaining loyalty of regular hospitality purchasers.

That would be a sensible gesture Harry.

Fair enough a terrace ticket has doubled but, the Aggy suite has gone up by SIX times the normal amount!!

And by the look of, has sold out, which sort of justifies the decision.

Good suggestion above to offer a free or heavily discounted table to regular users for a future game.

It will be interesting to see whether the Harriers Corporates (possibly 200+) - now supposedly being seated in the East Stand - will have a block of seats reserved for them. Somehow I can't see them having to queue 100 yards outside the turnstiles at 12.15pm. (Probably be escorted to the mid-exit door at the rear of the stand.) If these seats are reserved for them, many Season Ticket holders will be totally p*ssed off when they can't have their usual seats. Plus, it will probably mean even fewer tickets available on general sale come the weekend. We shall see.
