Looks like Trialist B has been shown the door.

Don’t call us. We’ll call you

Trialist C (green boots) should be shown the door.

Came on and not once did he pressure their back line. Played deeper than Tom Palmer almost.

Indeed….we still need another striker. Céesay looks more comfortable coming in off the wing for me.
Good high tempo football first half from us and we deserved to be ahead but we came off it second half and paid the price.
Foulkes looks very strong at right back (seems to have bulked out) and Lowe had an influential first half too. Doesn’t mind a challenge does he?
Pearce has impressed me the most of all our centre backs in the home friendlies. Leak looks solid too. Some encouraging signs but we do need more goals from our frontline this season, even if it consists of only one!! :red_army:

Anyone know who any of the trialists were other than Sewell? Holmes one of them?

Decent forty minutes where we looked stronger and took advantage of them wanting too long on the ball.

Ceesay looks a handful. Brown did well. Lowe likes a tackle. Bad mistake from Knight-Percival for their goal.
Richards caught the eye as usual. Foulkes played well. Martin neat and tidy and Hemmo battled well. Liked the look of Leak too.

Tonights match report from the United game. Excellent again Dan.

Was the reasoning behind so many key players missing last night that they'll be playing at Khalsa tonight?

Freemantle, Byrne, Owen-Evans and Holmes (trialist B) all missing.

Why haven't the club been pushing the game? Bewdley and Swifts too. Don't they want fans to go and support the team?

Also it's the last chance to get a decent CF trialist in before the Halesowen game. Trialist C is no where near good enough

{admin edit} I hadn't seen the video when this was posted so didn't know about the injuries/precautions.

I guess we get the gate receipts from home friendly so better to promote those? Hopefully Freemantle features tonight and isn’t injured. Also doesn’t sound like the extra striking option we could do with is coming from the trialists.

Thanks for the thoughts/reports on here and from Dan. Sounds promising.

Good to get some clarity on the missing players.

Impressed with Lowe, Leak, Pearce and Cessay. Felt a bit for Ceesay though, square peg in round hole up front. Martin was also good for 45 minutes. Lisimore also came on and made an impression. He's bulked out a bit and looks like he can handle himself.

What struck me was the pressing and how often we won the ball back. That midfield with TOE and Bryne to come back in will be force!

Disappointing evening. I look forward to seeing some flowing attacking football from MUFC but they weren't anything special and didn't seem that bothered. We had our chances to win it first half and if we'd scored it would have been a better game. Second half was dire.

I've been out of the loop so forgive a naive question - but where are TOE, AP and AMS?

So are they wearing the new season's kit then? Seems to have the main and secondary sponsor on, as well as names and squad numbers.

If so, it's an improvement on the previous but not quite the return to halves many of us were hoping for.

No. This is a kit that'll be auctioned off, think it was in the pre-Liverpool official preview.
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)
