Very encouraging highlights, at least going forward.

Owen-Evans's ball for Ceesay (and then to Hemmings for the goal) is gorgeous. First high class thing I've seen from him.

Ceesay and Foulkes looking great in these clips.

Amazing transition, and credit to Ceesay, other players would have had a shot rather than pass to a player in a better position when through on goal.
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)

Thought we played well on Saturday. Tough place to go so very pleased with the win. I gave Lowe motm thought he controlled midfield and barely gave the ball away all game. There were lots of good performances. Best I have seen of Toe who I thought disappointed in pre season. Ceesay was unplayable second half. Unbelievable pace but his finishing was poor. I think we have real prospect in Brown. Was brilliant when he came in for Freemantle. Overall very promising

I know the highlights don't give the full story but I would like to give a pat on the back to Tom Palmer, subject of a few reservations pre-season as to his credentials to play as first choice - thought he looked comfortable and pulled off a couple of good saves, he can only get better as his confidence grows he would have understandably been a bit nervous, vindicated Russ Penn's faith.

One or two alarming moments at the back which a better side would have exploited but let's hope some training-ground work will sort that out. All in all we look a physically stronger side than last season and that's crucial at this level. Some wise heads and some pace too. Still a striker short as everyone says. I wonder if Russ has any plans in that direction. Hope so.

Ceesay out here looking like The Vanarama Haaland. :D With that combination of size, strength and pace you can see him being a right menace.

If the plan is to defend a little deeper this season, as you'd expect with a partnership of Pearce and Knight-Percival, then him and Ash Hemmings could cause havoc on the break.

Strong save from Palmer on the first highlight, too.

Blyth version. Shows Pearce's foul and some excitable commentating.

The key takeaway from last season's Alfreton game was that Ceesay could've had a first half hat trick with better finishing. Having said that, his numbers aren't too dissimilar to what OSJ provided.

Great to see him already looking like a (versatile) threat, hopefully as we go deeper the full time training will pay dividends and he'll grab plenty of goals.

Great to start with a clean sheet as well given the unease of starting with Palmer

Main thing for me is that despite the midfield not having played together there was plenty of width, movement and already a tactical understanding and support.
We could do with a couple of afternoons shooting practice ready for Saturday but on the whole a decent start.

Yes I did see that, he can only get better with game time. He must be the longest serving player now Sammy has left ?
