Wealdstone having to play tonight against Bromley after being told on Monday, they're not happy about it but do have a lot of games to catch up on. Saw somewhere that they've got 5 players on international duty apparently?

Either way - must win surely.

Am intrigued to see how this one plays out. Phil Brown talks about wanting to put teams under pressure and kicking the door down but we won the home game vs Wealdstone with exactly the opposite approach. That day Russ set the team up even more conservatively than usual, with the team dropping deep and not challenging at all when Wealdstone had possession anywhere in their own half. They clearly had a single way of playing (inviting a press and passing through it) and it seemed to completely stump them, either going nowhere or eventually resorting to a long ball that they were ill-equipped to win. Our game-plan certainly wasn't a joy to watch but it worked - if we had tried pressing that day I fear we would have been taken apart similar to Gateshead away.

I don't know if Wealdstone have since changed their approach/players or whether we have since sufficiently mastered a high press to attempt what Phil Brown speaks of.

Any tactics employed by Brown I'd trust more than what Penn employed this season, the results speak for themselves.
Its a must win. And some selection headaches for Brown with Kpekewa and Miller available, and Preston back, plus the signing of the lad from Blackburn. Bellis did well when he came on last week too so he will be pushing for a start, as will Robinson.
Id start Robinson right wing back and give him a good sixty for Hemmings. If Brown wants to press He'll need to start Bellis, maybe for JET as its more legs up there. JET has obvious quality on the ball but isnt quite fit yet.

I dont think we'll see many changes, aside from Gold being dropped (wouldnt be surprised if hes dropped from the 16 as its not often you see Brown digging players out like he did post match Saturday) for Miller or the new lad.

Eitherway, its a must win.

Will be at this one. A win is needed to break this run of draws and a defeat. I'd hope that Wealdstone will have tired legs which will help us...but then again, that's not always worked out.
