Player of the Season 2017-18 : Fraser Horsfall

Post by Phil » Wed Apr 11, 2018 9:21 am

The end is nigh and with it comes the Player of the Season poll.

Again for the second season in a row we're in the play-offs (OK I know we're not there yet but it would need a major slump to see us down to 8th place) so the poll will be updated as the remaining games are played and will end after the play-offs are over for us. That gives an outline date of May 15th or earlier if we don't get that far.

You get a list of all those that have won the MotM for each game with the amount of times won in brackets by the side. I can add to that amount for the remaining games but not add a new name in because it breaks the poll.

As last season I'm going to be nice to you and you can vote for up to three players. So get voting ASAP.

Horsfall.

Consistently good (from what I've seen), really changed the side when he came in, and is somebody you can rely to give 7/10 week-in-week-out.

Crosdale wasn't great at the start of the year, and Ironside started slowly.

Hall's had his moments, and is a close second for me. 'That' ball bouncing under him at Salford is what has lost him my vote. Otherwise a brilliant season (with games to go) for a guy who people weren't sure of at first.

Then again, I've probably seen ten games all season. Take it with a pinch of salt. Let's crack on and finish the season as playoff winners. COYR.
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)

Took Phil up on the 3 votes and gone for Horsfall as first choice closely followed by Brandon Hall and Jimmy O'Connor.
Fraser has been consistent all season and for such a young lad shows real composure when under pressure, no doubt clubs further up the leagues will make enquiries for him in the close season.
Could he be the first million pound player for Harriers???
Brandon too has been consistently good although I'm still a little unsure with his kicking, hopefully we can get him signed up (assuming he isn't already) for the next season or too.
Jimmy has been the wise head needed and I'm sure he benefits the whole squad in training with his experience.

This poll will now end this coming Saturday evening for reasons that many of us still can't comprehend why.

You now have up till then to get your votes in if you haven't done so already. Thank you to everyone that has voted so far.

As expected Fraser Horsfall was the winner this time around and a worthy winner too.

Thanks to everyone that voted.

Never in any doubt.

Good luck to the lad wherever he plays hos footy.
