That’d be my take too. Terrific goal.

There was a spell after the penalty when we were 3-1 up when I was concerned that Morecambe could get back to 3-3. They could break with speed as shown by the fact we had to concede a penalty. The 4th and 5th goals meant I could relax again.

Interesting how Walker is slowly edging himself into the starting 11. Not sure where he fits in with Hemmo / Morgs back in the side but it feels like we’re starting to see his potential with massive upside still to come.

Yes, that's the risk that you run when playing such a high line. Morecambe were woeful and apart from their superb 2nd goal they rarely troubled the Harriers' defence. They had no answer to our press and their defence was a comedy of errors. Credit to AM and SW for turning it around. The management team got their tactics spot on yesterday evening. It was hard to single out individuals as it was a great, all round team performance but Davis was outstanding and looked like a natural captain and leader. Owen Evans wasn't far behind him with another top drawer performance. The front 3 gave us more pace and mobility and we were far less predictable to the opposition than when we are constantly playing balls into a target man. I'd personally like to see this approach adopted more often. This game looked like Morcombe's equivalent of our match against Radcliffe earlier in the season. Thankfully we look light years away from that dreadful performance now. Yesterday's game was right up there with last season's 5-1 drubbing of Hereford. It's just a shame that there was such a low turnout as this was a performance to savour.

Our pace and accuracy of pass gave us a great advantage against a poor team.

Devine meant that shot but I couldn't see that from the North stand!
Another game where everyone was on it. Walker had the beating full back all game.
I don't see the Worksop game being anything like that- AMS will be playings we will need a physical presence.

I also thought that in spells Morecambe actually looked quite potent. They struggled because they were disorganised at the back and our press is very good.

We did switch off at the end, but it was only the last 10 minutes or so. We actually came out 2nd half full of running. For all the goals, a real highlight for me was Owen Evans sprinting back for an epic block when they were through on goal.

I’m glad I went but it was quite a strange game to watch and very different to any other match this season. I wonder what Saturday will be like. Back to 1-0 again?
Owens was at it again a bit last night. From his perspective both of the first two goals were flukes, but I'm not sure either were. He needs to watch that negativity - the commentary starts with him moaning from the off & it really doesn't help the highlights package, especially when we win 6-2!
Trevor Owens (who I think you're referring to), had nothing to do with yesterday's coverage. He wasn't the commentator or the presenter in the studio.
The commentator was Chris Williams.
Yes, apologies to Trevor. It was indeed Chris Williams.
