Player of the Season 2015-16 : Ben Whitfield
Yes we all know that it's been a terrible season and that only a couple of players have really shone for us amongst all the dross foisted upon us.
Life goes on and at least we can cheer ourselves up by voting for our Player of the Season. As usual all players that have won the various MotM's are listed and the amount of times they have won is in the brackets. I'll update them over the course of the last five games but I can't add any new names in (crashes the whole lot)
You have until midnight on the 8th of May to vote and then we can tell Ben Whitfield that he's won.

easiest decision I've every made, Ben Whitfield by a mile, always plays with skill and passion and in my eyes will always be a true Harrier even though he wasn't one of ours.

Absolutely - the ultimate in one horse races - if we had had 11 Ben Whitfields we would probably be in L2 next season.

Under normal circumstances it would be a no brainer and Whitfield would be my choice, but given that he is not one of ours then I have had to go for Elton. For me he has been the outstanding player from OUR squad.

Ben Whitfield has been in OUR squad all the time he has been here.

Maybe but he's not OUR player, but absolutely agree best on the pitch this season hands down.auspice wrote:Ben Whitfield has been in OUR squad all the time he has been here.

To not vote for Ben because he isn't our player is ridiculous. The effort and commitment he has shown to our club is amazing considering the circumstances and he deserves this award.

One horse race.
Even his father comes to every game and shows his support. I wonder of he gets a vote.

Why bother its a forgone conclusion if we had more like him we wouldn't be in this mess.

I'd normally agree it should go to one of our 'own' players, but in this case to vote for anyone but Ben would be perverse. And not in a good way.

I must be perverse then Joe! (....been called worse!....)
I'd normally vote for Ben but thinking about it I gave it to Maxwell as;
1. over the FULL 46 game season he's consistently been a relative bright spot in some pretty dire team performances, especially pre Xmas.
2. his potential has earned the club some much needed transfer cash
3. Everyone else will -rightly- vote for Ben W!

Presumably the person who voted for Langmead is either:
a) Langmead
b) a relative of the above
c) myopic and misread Langmead for Whitfield
d) a mischievous little imp
