After the dull, turgid and poor performances of late then time for change. A run of home games, so why not give Clarke, Waldron and Thompson a run of league games to see if they are up to it. Start planning for next season as we are clearly well short of the standards required to be a National League team and try to sneak in the playoffs at the same time.
Reynolds currently looks like a fish out of water in his current role/system, Walker is an impact sub and Hemmo looks a sad figure.
As a side note, AMS started in both the Fylde and Telford games which I would put down as the best of the season at home (discount Morecambe on the basis they were so poor). When this teams loses its intensity, it has very little in the way of quality to offer in the final third.
As for the Trophy, any optimism and excitement was well and truly distinguished yesterday.

Credit to AM, bar the odd match we are a very well organised team, difficult to score against and beat. Data driven, risk adverse, one dimensional football will only take us so far though.

Teams preparing to play the better sides in the NLN must do so with trepidation, knowing they can play well and still be comprehensively beaten. The same teams preparing to play us must think you know what, if we play well the Harriers are unlikely to score more than once. We are not a side to be feared, the body language of the players yesterday suggested they are not enjoying their football. We play with a high intensity style that is likely to take its toll on the players physically during a busy schedule, the squad lacks depth and game changing options off the bench.

Something has to change now. Walking away from Aggborough following the last two home games I've overheard the words 'Murray out'. Nobody wants to return to the dark days of last November but it is up to AM to adapt before it's too late, the excuses are wearing very thin now.

352 please

Dibble
Obi Kalambyai Evans
Foulkes Davis Cooper Devine
Reynolds
Hemmings/Thompson Waldron

Get rid of the 343 that's not working. Use Walker as an impact sub to cause issues against a tiring defence, get Hemmings or Thompson close to a strike partner to play off and to run in behind. Right now we have no runners and we aren't creating gaps in the defence.

Let Cooper sit back and cover the defence and Reynolds and Davis push on to help the attack and stretch the defence.

Seems simple to me but what do I know

I’m not ready to throw Murray under the bus. I was singing his praises just a couple of weeks ago (I really thought we were going somewhere) so I’d look a bit hypocritical.

We’re going through a sticky patch for sure but as long as the ship is steadied we have shown that we are capable of being a good side, good enough to win the playoffs if we get our act together.

I’m not sure what Hemmo’s future is, but if it was up to me he’d be playing off Waldron or Morgs and Walker making way. Walker needs to play against tired legs I think to be most effective. His presence in the side seems to change the way we play for the worse.

Not his fault obviously, and he remains a good prospect.

I think the suspension kicks in after seven days and that he'll be available for Tuesday. He'll miss the Trophy game.

prediction league say -

19 for Harriers home win
2 for a draw
2 for Marine away win

BUT these were predicted about a month ago - i wonder if so many would be as optimistic now - maybe instead of being optimistic they had a misty optic . . .

AND dont forget to post for MARCH! https://www.harriers-online.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=394

We were well and truly taken apart away at Marine - I am not even sure if we troubled their keeper. A win is required to avoid the double being done over us. About time we started with Hemmings and AMS but I guess to AM that might be like accepting the past which he has tried so hard to get rid of and which has delivered a season of little entertaining football so far. I am afraid the arrogance is tangible.

Its a moot point as PB is history, but in amongst all the waffle he used to come out with (which I found quite entertaining at times) I felt that he was speaking from experience and 'been there and done it at the highest level' and there was a rationale and understanding of the situation (win lose or draw) - I'm afraid I don't get that with AM - his interviews are, to be honest, repetitive and detatched from reality (from what I see in games) he just doesn't inspire me to believe in his approach and style of football. His Harriers side are miles away from what we had last season, even with the bulk of the squad being the same players. Even though he has history of success at this level, strangely I get the feeling he is out of his depth in NLN and as a result I don't see us getting promoted with him in charge. Just my opinion and no wish to start an argument.

Agree with both Pershore and Max. Uninspiring manager, uninspiring football. I’d take issue with Max’s comment about the bulk of the squad being the same. Morrison, McNally, Richards, Brown and Kouhyar would walk straight into this season’s starting XI. So in addition to Murray’s coaching and tactical shortcomings, the quality is simply not there. If we were to manage to get promoted via the playoffs, how many of the current squad do you think could hack it in the National League? I’m thinking probably two.

OK maybe three. Dibs, Foulkes and Evans. Obi, PK and Devine as squad players.

I really like Devine, probably my favourite player of the current crop. At least he *tries* to play good football, but is often hamstrung by tactics and the other players around him. I think he’d shine in the right team, a lot of talent and upside there.

Only player who get in last eyars 11 out of this crop for me is Evans. hes an 8-10 most weeks, Caleb as good as he was more of a 7-10
It will be the same old today, but he MUST for 3-5-2 and partner Hemmo up there with Waldron and drop the whippet
if you couple goals with clean sheets you've a recipe for success
