Am I alone in having absolutely no interest whatsoever in this game?
I just don't see the appeal of the competition at all. I'm disappointed we aren't playing the league game at Chorley on Saturday instead. That would have been a decent day out. As it is I wouldn't go on Saturday if it was free admission.
I just hope we get no injuries ahead of the far more important game on Tue vs Alfreton. If it was down to me I'd play the academy kids.

I rather hope that you're pretty much alone. It's a quarter final of a major national competition in which we've had a significant history (sadly not that recently) and further success would be most welcome in its own right quite apart from boosting confidence for the league.
Should we make it to Wembley I'd be surprised if there are many who choose not to attend. But each to their own of course.

Promotion is the number one priority, it has to be. But we can do both, successful teams often do.
If we could get to Wembley it’s a once in a decade or two opportunity, great for the town and the club’s profile.
I don’t think it needs to be either or - we need to believe we can do both. If we lose, it’s not the end of the world but let’s go for it. It also looks like an opportunity for a few bench players to get some game time and possibly prove themselves.

We wont win the league and im not out of therapy from last years failed Play-Off campaign yet so the thought of a day out at Wembley does appeal.
Do we know who is and isnt available for this one. No Cooper, Davis, Seb, Hemmo, Waldron, Minaker, anyone else?

It's a real shame that we can't give Minaker a start. Would have been perfect.King Monkey wrote: Fri Feb 27, 2026 8:16 am We wont win the league and im not out of therapy from last years failed Play-Off campaign yet so the thought of a day out at Wembley does appeal.

Any chance that some of out on loan players can get clearance to play from their home clubs if those clubs are no longer in the Trophy??

My guess at a team
Dibble
Foulkes Obi Kalambyai Evans Devine
Clarke (Davis if he is available) Kandola
Walker AMS Reynolds
Palmer Hall TSS Faakye (unless he's cup tied) Francis then a bunch of academy players... The first 11 are going to have to step up as that bench is thin
It does make Davis' red card even worse if he's unavailable tomorrow, the squad for the trophy is stretched thin as it is

Sadly yes
imagine its the same line up v halifax but AMS in for TO
if you couple goals with clean sheets you've a recipe for success
