Anyone know whether he's staying?

News article says he’s with us until early March so I’d say that means he’ll be with us for the Alfreton game.

By the sounds of the AM interview after todays game it sounds like Hemmo has gone. Certainly the loan won't be extended. Shame but I think it's the right decision, it hasn't produced the fruits everyone hoped for. He must have been on a decent wedge so hopefully that can be put towards someone that plays up top and can put the ball in the back of the net.

If true (and you are usually spot on Jim), it's a joke. Another player Murray has mismanaged.

Definitely gone. The manager was quite definite about it.

tbh I don't know what happened to him at D&R but he's nowhere near the player he was last season, which is a crying shame for us and Hemmo. I don't think you can put the blame at Murray's door for this one.

Very harsh on AM! Sadly, Hemmo is not the player he was. His star has well and truly waned.

I tend to agree with this. Murray is always reluctant to tweak or adjust his system to accommodate players - Hemmo has been a victim of this. Playing as a lone central striker? Please.

AM has had ample opportunity to play a 3-5-2 with AMS/Waldron and Hemmo and just didn't do it.

I'm not saying Hemmo is the same player for us as he was last season, and Murray says it hasn't clicked. Which perhaps is fair. But I don't think Hemmo has had a real chance.

You mean playing him as a lone striker in a long ball team? A player doesn't become a bad player overnight. Or in a few months. We never played to his strengths, as the most intelligent or creative player in the side.

I suspect Murray was told he was signing Hemmings. Tried to fit him in to his system without adapting it. But he never really understood him, as Penn or Brown did.

I think Murray has made the right call on this one.
I get the lone striker role point however he hasn’t always played there and he’s no where near the player he was. I also heard we are paying a good percentage of his wages so it’s an expensive one which has yielded no goals. Gives us chance to bring a couple in which we need.
Shame as I had high hopes but as murray said, it hasn’t clicked and imo he’s right
if you couple goals with clean sheets you've a recipe for success

At South Shields he seemed to galvanise and reshape the whole team. He nearly scored with pretty much his first touch. That game was ridiculous in terms of how much better we were than previously - it gave me hope we have a side here. Still the best performance of the season imo.

Since then there have been flashes of the old Hemmo, but it’s never quite come off. This time last season at times he was scoring literally out of nothing (when as a team we were playing badly). Not this time sadly.

Watching his body language he doesn’t look quite right. Whether that’s football or something else who knows.

I do think AM has failed to some extent in getting the best out of him, but there’s only so much he can do if Ash isn’t quite firing on all cylinders.

I’m sad he’s gone. I love watching him play, different class on his day. He’ll always be a legend but got to move on and hope we hit the jackpot with the money it frees up.

Don’t agree he has been awful. Age has caught up same as AMS. Wasn’t happy he came back. No goals in three months. Why do you think Dagenham let him go. Move on and hopefully get a proper centre forward in

It would be typical if Murray now decides to give Morgs more game time or even start him (heaven forbid!) but no Hemmo to play off him.

Instead we will have George Walker (who has obvious big potential) but who has yet to score a goal or even look like scoring a goal. What do I know - clearly Hemmo has aged 10 years in 9 months since being the leading scorer in the league.

Coincidence that Riley and Hemmo look different players when AMS is on the pitch? Start AMS and try and get 60 minutes out of him whenever possible. Try Waldron or Thompson alongside him, Walker impact sub.

Just a thought but how many games did we lose this season when AMS and Hemmings played together?
