That has to be one of the poorest matches at Aggy in a long time. Flaccid, low energy, disjointed, and neither team could find their collective backsides with both hands, and relied on wayward passes to set up 5 seconds of excitement.
The only entertainment was the "leave 4 up on the half way line" tactic for corners that could have worked if Dibs could work out how to kick out of his own hands.
Alfreton need fining by the NL for crimes against fashion with that away kit; although I started yearning for a packet of black current Chewits round about 9pm.........
Faakye seemed okay at the back, and won headers well for a short CD. Cooper seemed content to give away free kick after free kick, while Davis looked completely isolated in the centre.
PS;Note to Murray; remind Joe Foulkes we change ends at half time.

Let’s hope that was an off day for a few players and we got away with it. Not great games for Cooper, Digga, Joe, all giving the ball away at times. Walker AWOL.
In better news Obi and Faakye looked solid - a good debut. Seb showed flashes of skill and creativity.
But my God, for the most part it was a hard watch. Tedious.
Thank goodness we have someone with a bit of spark (Reynolds) and someone who can actually put it in the net (Devine).
I don’t think I can take much more this season of seeing delivery after delivery going into the box with no Harriers player anywhere near getting on the end of it. It’s driving me mad.
I’ll always turn up as I’ve paid for a season ticket, but I have to say I wouldn’t blame anyone for not wanting to fork out £20 to watch that.
A big three points I suppose, and a clean sheet. Got to stay positive!

That was a soporific watch. Clearly running on empty after Saturday but somehow managed to snatch the win against a very poor side. Must get the recruitment right now, no margin for error based on tonight.

That was far from convincing. That win will have papered over some cracks
Question marks on murray selection and subs
We looked half decent for ten mins when we took Walker off for ams (only sub murray got right but he should have started Ams and seb not walker as a we had something to aim at and b seb and devine were getting decent balls in. Should have scored when ams blocked reynolds shot it was more youve been framed material than devine and kandola saturday.
Clarke coming on against a physical outfit instead of motm kandola weird. Taking seb off for tss even more weird as he employed tss on the right.
Great bit of quality for the goal from my motm reynolds and a nice finish from devine
Alfy almost nicked a point at the end with a Gerry header. I dont think we could have had any complaints if they came Away with a draw i dont feel like we deserved to win it
Far from convinced we have the manager system Or players to get promoted. Its flaccid football
No risk taking all safe no quality outlets (we’ve gone from hemmoAnd maz to now relying on Seb as our best option) no real No ten in midfield all seems risk advrse. We have had proven strikers here none of them have been good as system And way we play doesn’t get the best out Of them. Haaland would struggle to score here.
Thought foulkes davis evans and cooper below par tonight
New lad at cb wasteful on the ball at times but dkd well defensively and wasn’t bullied by ayres and gerry tep big lads. He isnt the biggest lad himself though and dont think medium term hes the answer

A very lopsided fixture list will have played a part in it. It was the 5th home game in a row. Attendance the same as vs Marine last Tue.
After next week we then have a run of 5 away games in a row.

Well what a frustrating match. I know we were not good but Alfreton god awful boring lumpers! They didn't even try to put a pass together and just hoofed the ball up in the air. They have always been horrible to play against. On us. Thought most players were off tonight or they just stopped us playing. New player did well at the back as did Obi. We were much better when AMS came on. Shame for kam as he played so well Saturday. However we have such a lot of games coming up They will all get their chance. Table is getting very close now. We just need to keep grinding out results however ugly!

All I would say is we were indeed blessed to witness both TSS and Gerry on the same pitch at the same time. All it needed was Gary Hay and Manny Panther to appear and it would have made my night.
Oh well, three points and we move onwards towards what feels like an absolutely obvious end of season denouement.

The above comments much more entertaining than the game. Nothing to add. Well done to all contributors. A very accurate summary of an abysmal game. Obi & Riley MOM's for me.
