Chester no doubt benefitting from the new (interim) manager bounce, they have won their last two games under Connell Rawlinson - who was Chester's player coach and probably still is !! It will be a tough game and hopefully a decent crowd for this very important game. Dylan Mottley-Henry is the top scorer for Chester, he's had more clubs than Jack !!
As long as Murray doesn't over think his team selection and try to be too clever - keep the same side and play the same way - go at them.HarrierN2 wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 2:12 pm At the risk of cursing this, I think Chester are in for a nasty surprise on Saturday.

If Chester Management have looked at our game away to Buxton and at home to Peterborough Sports and I am sure they will have done then they will be fully aware of the impact made by Donnelly and they will undoubtedly do everything to stop him from tormenting their defensive cover. We can trouble Chester and I hope we do from minute 1 to minute 95.
I would agree that we start with the same 11 as Tuesday if at all possible.

Hopefully this will benefit us abit
Really? I wouldn't be so sure of that. Since sacking their manager, Chester have been in excellent form and I think that they will prove to be our stiffest opposition for some time. We cannot afford to underestimate them. The memory of last season's play off game is still fresh in my mind and they still have several players in their squad that played in that game. I think that we need to be in their faces from the off. I hope that tomorrow's game is a big improvement on the one at The Deva Stadium earlier in the season- that was like watching a couple of pub teams. The only positive from that game was the debut of PK for me. It was a great win against PS and some very good goals scored however, there was a lot of head tennis and hoofball in the first half (AM admitted it was a scrappy first half in his interview). I noticed that there were quite a few long, high balls aimed towards Donnelly and ST which was pretty pointless in my opinion as neither are the tallest. I think tomorrow's result all depends on which Harriers side shows up tomorrow - I hope that it's not the one that played against Alfreton!HarrierN2 wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 2:12 pm At the risk of cursing this, I think Chester are in for a nasty surprise on Saturday.

Totally agree. This will be a tough test and we are clearly not playing Chester at a good time, based on their current form.Cyberia wrote: Fri Mar 13, 2026 6:05 pmReally? After a poor start they are making a late run for the playoffs, and will fancy themselves for an upset if they get there.
A chance for revenge for the players from last year - if we turn up we are capable of a good result, which keeps the important momentum going.
A big game for Donnelly to prove himself.

Can I make a plea that we don’t all lose our heads if we lose tomorrow?
It doesn't really matter too much if we lose tomorrow, we're in a strong league position for the play offs either way. I just don't think we will lose. When we played Alfreton we didn't have Donnelly and Seb Thompson wasn't starting. I think that makes an enormous difference.
I know that Chester have been on a good run, but they've not been battering teams and I just think we'll have too much for them tomorrow.
For full disclosure, the last time I stated that we'd definitely win it was before the Southport debacle, so if we lose tomorrow I'll be making myself scarce on here - and definitely not doing this again! But my feeling is that we'll win.
