Aww, come on Sheff, where’s the fun in that?

You know the forum rules… any given defeat entitles at least one contributor to post that this one result alone is proof that the manager (whoever it is at the time) will never get us promoted and therefore must be sacked immediately! :-)

I honestly don’t think that’s going to happen. We have got ourselves into a strong position and I just can’t see us putting in an Alfreton type performance today. If we lose we move on. At least we know what represents success now - 3rd place is in our grasp whatever happens today.

But let’s hope we turn them over!! COYR

I agree Chester are on a good run but so are Harriers - we are top of the form league AND we are at home. Where has all the positivity gone ? Big crowd and a nice sunny afternoon, what could be better - COYR.

Is Waldron out for a while? Not featured in the last couple of games.

We're in control but so slack in front of goal. Birdie needs to underhit it slightly.

This halfway line routine works well but we need to break quicker from it rather than build it up slowly.

Giving their defenders too much time to get back and cover.

Harriers draw 1-1 after Cooper's cracker. Sounds like there was a bit of faffing about a sub before Chester's equaliser. Not sure we created a huge amount again, but a solid enough result.

We gain another point on Merthyr after they lose at home to Spennymore. Hereford beat South Shields - with Fylde hammering King's Lynn at the top of the table.

Thought we played pretty well. Dominated them physically and Thompson and Donnelly looked a real handful up front. Disappointing to concede and think Dibble will want it back - he looked all over the place from where I was stood. Cooper surely goal of the season. Referee lost control at the end and I hope the Chester heads aren’t too sore tomorrow - must’ve had about four or five stoppages for that. Don’t think AMS offered anything when he came on unfortunately.

Really frustrated we didn’t win. Thought we were better side with some excellent performances.

Donnelly too isolated at times. He had / made a couple of decent chances. Seb was lively. Evans was my motm. Joe immense. Bird good.

Would like to see their goal again. 9 times out of 10 Davis pulls him down and takes a booking. And felt Dibble could have done better.

Totally sick of shirt pulling and holding at corners being ignored by officials. All teams do it. It just seems it’s an accepted part of the game now.
The head injury farce was pathetic. Chester played the ref today.

Ref from Brighton saw their shirts and thought he was actually playing for them.

I know I always moan about referees but if you’re going to be so easily swayed you really should not be officiating at this, or indeed any, level. An embarrassing performance.
Not a bad point but I think they did their homework on us better than we did on them.
Can’t imagine we’ll see a better goal this season.
Donnelly, Thompson and Bird stood out for me but Foulkes outstanding again. What is he doing at this level?

The ref aside, we didn't create enough to deserve to win.
Chester had done their homework on us and there was no Plan B.
First half was quite boring with Harriers having plenty of possession but Chester not pressing and content to play 11 behind the ball. Second half was a slight improvement but, apart from Cooper's goal, a fairly forgettable match.
