It wasn't played at Aggborough yesterday because there was a pre-booked wedding reception in the suite.

Confirmed as being at Aggborough this Sunday. 2pm ko.

Best of luck to the women this weekend! A tall order against Blackburn... But great that they've made it this far and who knows what may happen... 🙂

The game ended 4-0 to Blackburn.

KHFC W were totally outplayed. They played to the best of their capabilities but a bit better coaching would improve them no end.

Ball over the top. Our CF would chase it while the rest of the team stood and watched from their own half. Basic stuff really.

Fair play to them though at least they got that far.

Disappointed with the clubs input re media, interaction etc. There was none.

I agree with you re tactics, Phil. It was obvious we were playing for 0-0 at the start. Clearly our only forward was told to get back and cover as soon as she lost the ball instead of chasing back passes down. Thankless task to be upfront with no support
Once Harriers were 1-0 down surely the tactics had to change by bringing some variety of press. Their Centre back breezed through the game without any pressure at all.
That said there was clearly a gulf between the teams in terms of control and skill on the ball.
One Blackburn goal, a spin and shot on the turn from the edge of the area would have graced any game
Our women fought well but sadly once the first goal went in, playing the way we were, it was an uphill struggle.

I have to agree. If our tactic was to play it in behind the striker should've been just sat on the shoulder of the CB's but she dropped 10 yards deeper and never had a chance.

But still they battled well their legs just seemed to go at the end. The players should be proud of the run and what they'd done. Record breakers.

Also sad Harriers played in blue and Blackburn in pink. It would have been good to see red and white halves v blue and white quarters like in the olden days!

Think the issue is Blackburn play in halves like us. And Red and white is too similar to pink

I don't tend to agree with the comment re; club input on media interaction etc unless I am miss understanding what you have put. The clubs official twitter page have retweeted and posted stuff on the womans teams game v Blackburn and also Stourbridge, which helps as it has a lot more followers than the womens teams page. Players from the womens team, the manager have been interviewed and its posted on the clubs official YT Channel, so they are getting alot more exposure than they ever have done IMO. Oh, and players from the mens team posted good luck messages via the clubs social media outlets.
Great effort by the team to get so far in the competition - should be proud of themselves.

There was no programme, not even a team sheet. No scoreboard. No one from the club there - not that we could see because the Aggborough suite was in darkness.

It just seemed to be left to the girls to organise themselves.

A programme costs to print, depends if it was commercially viable.
Having the Aggy Suite open also costs money especially if there is a sub 700 crowd there.
Having the game at Aggborough is an experience in itself for the womens team and its good that they were able to have such a game there and a good number of people watching rather than their usual venue.
Have to weigh up these things into context I think
