Re: 3rd round. Who do we want?
I am a bit torn about home or away.
It would be great to watch our team at Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea or Spurs. Despite what we were told about our cut from the Sunderland game, I can't imagine us not coining it in which would propel our league push. Might we make £1m from gate money?
Or, Man City at home. They don't really have a second eleven. What about Man U? Ronaldo, maybe coming off the bench as a last gasp attempt to get an equaliser against us? Imagine that. The best player ever in the history of football (possibly) gracing the same pitch as Gary Hay.
There would also be the outside chance of us getting live TV coverage.

google random number generator enter range 1 to 64, (ignore 59 if it comes up) and then toss a coin heads = home and tails = away.
On mine we got Hull home.

A bottom half of L1 or L2 team at home or one of the big boys away. We’ll probably get Chesterfield away. More nervous now than at 3pm Sunday.

I think we are almost nailed on for a live TV match especially if St Albans lose tonight as we'll then be the lowest club left in the competition. There will be at least 6 live matches which will inevitably be the big clubs plus often the lowest side left in the competition. I think we are also the most traditional non-league club left in as well aside from BW but they've already been on today. Yeovil were in the Championship not that long back and Chesterfield are hardly your average non league club.Cal's Spongebag wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 4:47 pmI am a bit torn about home or away.

I reckon only draws such as Harrogate away would keep us off TV.

A Derby paper did the same thing and we got Wimbledon at home, what a difference between the twoHarrier1994 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 5:42 pmhttps://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/fa-cup-draw-simulated-villa-22380228.amp

Something winnable please. By process of elimination, a glamour tie is more likely the further we progress. If we are to get dumped out of the cup then let it be in round 4 or even 5.
It is only a matter of time before those good people at the National Lottery give me the jackpot that I so richly deserve.

Pleased with that in all honesty.
Should be another money spinner as I would expect Reading to bring at least 1,000 with them and the TV companies might smell an upset and select us for live coverage.

Nice have another full Aggborough, but Reading probably too good for us without it being a glamour tie. Hope not of course.

They're a bit inconsistent and near the bottom of the table so we have as good a chance as them. Almost certainly to be on the TV.

Being at home might clinch the coverage especially if Boreham Wood progress. Flying low at ranked side left in the tournament vs struggling side from multiple leagues above is prime TV fodder traditionally

Absolutely; Reading hardly pulling up trees at the moment and the rest of the draw doensnt really throw up any 'romance' the TV really look for. Its a possible winnable match.Pleased with that in all honesty.

A likely televised match and gate receipts on top of the money earned so far should help us into next year nicely.....

Intriguing tie.
You never know. You never know.
Not the financial boon the chairman might have wanted but glad we're at home and not away.
In some ways, hope it's Saturday at 3pm but there's a decent chance it'll be televised. Obviously United V Villa will be first pick.
