Surely their priority is the league - given their position.
If I were their manager , I would put the Under 16s out for this.

I think the game will get bigger the closer it gets.
Andy Carroll and Drinkwater could feature…
Do think it will get TV, will sell out no doubt and they will bring 1000.
And it’s 20% winnable.

Have to take into consideration they've had a points deduction. They were a pretty good side last season.
I'm coming around to it the more I think about it. It'll be a great occasion for the players and management, but I can't help feeling disappointed. Feels like the worst kind of draw. Big but not huge club and a little unfashionable.

Can't be too many unglamorous "glamour" ties as that one.
It is only a matter of time before those good people at the National Lottery give me the jackpot that I so richly deserve.

If we get tv money then it`s a good draw, without it, still just about winnable, so overall could have been worse.
Andy Carrol will be out injured by Jan.

Bajrami and Cameron would have him in their pockets anyway.

Well they'll have common ground with him on the financial front, with him on his grand a week.

Both Readings top goal scorers are injured and will be looking for match time.
Beat Fulham at Fulham so decent on their day.
Solid spine of Dann, Drinkwater and Carroll plus Swift as play maker.
Still beatable if Kidderminster stop them having time on the ball.
Tricky for me as Harriers supporter who was a Reading season ticket holder for decades before moving and supporting Harriers. Both sons in away stand they expect Reading to sell allocation.

I'd certainly settle for that. First off, we're at home.
You look at the teams that we could have been paired with and over half the potential fixtures are what we'd have considered rubbish draws.
I suspect that if you'd been standing next to Richard Lane when the draw was announced, he'd have had a smile on his face . . . and he deserves it as much as anyone IMHO.

Will Reading play a full strength side? Low down the league, could they be low on confidence? We'll surely sell out, likely get on TV. Could have been far worse. Atmosphere in the Arms was fairly disappointed though!
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)

Not unhappy with the draw at all. Just hope the ground is full to capacity 1.e. 6,000 plus and not the reduced one yesterday.

Re: 3rd round. Who do we want? We get Reading
As per my previous post, bit of a dream draw in our house, we live near Reading (both kids born down here and support Reading) but they also support Kiddy (through my merciless indoctrination) so the perfect occasion at Chez Mayo.
That said, if they even think about sporting blue and white on the day, they are officially disowned and will be placed on the transfer list.

Very happy with this. Hoping to make another successful trip down from Sheffield.
We could surprise anyone if we catch them off guard and it's up to us fans to play our part and create a Colosseum type atmosphere.
High probability of TV coverage and 6,000 gate.
Good times!!
If you are disappointed then you need to check yourself. The glass is definitely half full!

Re: 3rd round. Who do we want? We get Reading
As someone I think on Twitter pointed out to me, they’re in a bit of jeopardy in the championship, so that will be their priority. If they decide to keep their big players fit to fight relegation and they pop the 23s out, who says it can’t happen?

Taking a quick flick through the papers today, which will give you a sense of where the narrative's going and ergo TV coverage, we got a line at most. Not encouraging. But I'll be perfectly happy with a standard kick off time!
