Given the age and previous injuries of some players I get why some are rested but I’d liked to have seen us full strength and gone for it as funds generated from an fa cup run are very helpful
Plus is we have avoided defeat with alot of changes and Ibbotson is off the mark already.

IF - Harriers win the replay on Tuesday, today's team selection will have been academic and the manager will have been proved right in his decision to shuffle the pack, regardless of what the fans want. With the current injury situation and the match being played on an old artificial surface, PB' s conservative approach is understandable, plus he gets more time to assess the squad players. Understandable.

For any cup competition, i`m all for using the squad if the players are good enough. They need to be given a chance, otherwise how does the manager know how they will perform under the pressure of a game? Its also practice for when they need to be called upon. Plus as above, keeping the older players fit & injury free. Getting promotion is by far the most important aim this season for me.

Thought the commentary on H&W was very good, more tactical insight than Millerman, plus the odd nod to the peak district surroundings.

(I wrote this just before i saw maxpeed`s post, so some overlap)

Would've got Devine and Lambert in the team, to get them another start. Beyond that full strength.

Would be spitting feathers if I was Richard Lane, at Brown's attitude towards the competition. Possible revenue that should always be respected! And who knows the draw, the approach could potentially cost you!

As if a few singular cup matches, early or mid season, can be seen as having any bearing on the outcome of your season. That thinking is for the business end. All Big Time Charlie nonsense if you ask me. Given the opposition.

You're hardly a prem team trying to balance Europe with a domestic season, Mr. Brown. Smh. 🙄

On the positives from today, I thought Kandola looked decent. Didn't have a huge amount to deal with but did all the basics well and looked solid. Ibbotsen as well was a handful for the defenders and took his goal well. Think he needs a few lessons from AMS on using his body to hold off defenders when in the physical battles.

Devine as well looks he could properly challenge Richards for the left back slot. Strong defensively and a real eye for a pass, with good delivery a lot of the time too.

I think we also looked a lot more balanced once Summerfield and Foulkes came on and McNally returned to centre back. Foulkes a lot more comfortable on the ball and enabled us more opportunities to create down the right hand side.

Kandola let his man drift past him inside the area for their dis-allowed goal though.

Apart from that he was ok.

If AMS and Summerfield had come on at the start of the 2nd half we could have been looking at a different outcome this morning.
