Good signing, and its almost certain we will stick to the 'lone striker' formation given the abundence of riches in the m/f.
Chances are we'll take a youth striker on loan as cover.

Fantastic signing! Huge fan. Certainly one to renew optimism after the players lost. They must've threw some money at him!
Must say I'm really surprised. In that I expected a physical, ball winning midfielder to come in to complete the centre of midfield. Which looking at the numbers I wouldn't expect to see now. Very much moving back to how Harriers were a few years ago, in the make up of the side. I do have a slight concern they may be a bit lightweight in there.
Regardless, great marquee signature in isolation.

I go out for the day and it all kicks off again after nothing happens on the player scene but I'll do this:

Really pleased , great signing . We now have experience, youth and a lot of potential.
I agree about defence, would like to know that Cameron has a deal sorted.
Just one question which is not so important these days but who will be captain?

Really pleased with this. Looks to be what we need.
Now for a centre half and someone to support AMS.

Im impressed how many of you can notice the quality of opposition individuals. I struggle to just track how our team are playing.
Therefore, I know the name and the hype, but can't remember him specifically.
The hype is highly encouraging and as he says, clearly determined to win the league.

Massive signing and a real signing of intent, well done to Russ on this one. I imagine Byrne TOE and Lowe will be the three in the middle with TOE given license to push towards AMS.
Would love to see Cameron retained though I am not confident given we have bizarrely offered him reduced terms. Hopefully see a new keeper in also and a winger as we have two plus the young Tolley.

I agree we could do with a striker (although could be Ethan's season, 6 goals not a terrible return given his limited starts and apps) and a CB, but for me, Palms should start in goal and we should invest in those positions instead.
He's done enough to deserve his chance and his season out on loan in a competitive team only one league below is more that enough of a test. He probably played more competitive football as a first choice keeper in that one loan season than Simpson did in his whole career leading up to signing for Harriers (don't get me wrong, I thought Simpson did great for us but I think Palm's 'lack of experience' is a bit of a red herring)

For me, Byrne was the best player in that league last season and definitely on my wish-list. Now I'm optimistic that this could be a good season.
I hope Palmer gets the No.1 shirt.

Do you think we will sign a 3rd striker though? Cant see the budget allowing for that to be fair given that we only play 1 up front. Maybe Freemantle out on loan and another one in on loan? Think 20 games on loan would do Freemantle the world of good.Mayo wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 9:28 amI agree we could do with a striker (although could be Ethan's season, 6 goals not a terrible return given his limited starts and apps) and a CB, but for me, Palms should start in goal and we should invest in those positions instead.

All it takes is for AMS to be out for a few weeks and we are struggling IMO.

I'd love to see us sign a striker with some goals in him + a big aerial threat. Would allow us a plan B late in games.

I'm super excited about the Shane Byrne signing. I think games are won and lost in midfield and we're definitely targeted midfield this summer!
